Mark Fiore's animated cartoons have earned him the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning. This marked the first time in the history of this prize (since 1932) that it was presented to an artist whose work does not appear in print. Interestingly, in December of 2009, Apple rejected his iPhone app, even though the company approves approximately 95% of app submissions. Apple said his satire "ridiculed public figures", which I guess is sort of the definition of satire.
I liked this animation as it concerns one of my favorite commercial enterprises, the credit card business. Business success and higher profits are not based on better service, but on the inventiveness of banks in increasing rates and billing cycles while creating new fees, charges, and penalties introduced to customers in the microscopic print of the ever changing "agreements". These banks are all proud members of the Chamber of Commerce-looking out for the US consumer.
Though a bit dated, this is right on the money.
